In 2018, I designed and built a smart table, which allowed a full meal to be prepared and cooked on one surface using technology. I decided to try and implement this into a smaller, more accessible device that people could have in their homes.

 

I designed a board that can be placed on a kitchen surface. The device can be used as a chopping board, with built-in scales functionality using 3D Touch and a touch screen for recipes. The board can then be stored in its base on the wall, which allows you to interact with it as a home hub; controlling your appliances, creating daily schedules and playing music around your kitchen.

Smart Board + is a redesign using aluminium instead of plastic for the body of the device, giving a higher-quality finish.
